Leaf Area Index (LAI)

Estimate LAI from nadir RGB images using the Beer-Lambert gap fraction model. Plant pixels are detected via HSV segmentation; gap fraction drives the inversion. Select a leaf angle distribution to set the extinction coefficient k.
